The Problem
Our client, a former U.S. Army veteran, had built extraordinary relationships across countries and industries during a decade of service. He wanted to document these experiences in a structured way; not just written memories, but the people involved, places connected to those moments, and broader context surrounding each experience.
He envisioned a tool that could help professionals turn scattered experiences into searchable, meaningful archives. But he had no technical background, and traditional agencies quoted $50,000+ with timelines stretching 6-12 months for bloated scopes he didn't need.
He came to us needing speed, simplicity, and a partner who could translate his vision into a working product without over-engineering version one.
The Solution
We built Notable in eight weeks using Bubble and n8n automation. Every memory entry can be tagged with people, locations, events, and affiliations, creating a web of context that makes memories searchable and meaningful.
We made the calendar the primary navigation method because life unfolds in time, not random fragments. The platform works seamlessly on mobile and desktop using responsive design—no separate rebuild required. Photos attach to entries for visual context. Entries are private by default but can be selectively shared for network-building or storytelling.
Bubble allowed us to iterate weekly with the client, testing features in real time and adjusting based on feedback. We integrated n8n for automated workflows and backend logic. Most importantly, we trained the client to make minor updates himself after launch, giving him ownership without developer dependency.
The Impact
We delivered Notable on time and on budget despite evolving requirements during the build. The client launched immediately to his personal network—200 active users began testing and providing real-world feedback for validation.
Beyond the launch, the client gained full ownership of his platform. We trained him to make updates himself, giving him the flexibility to test changes and iterate based on user feedback without developer dependency.
What started as a vision from a veteran with no technical background became a functional digital business in eight weeks; a working product, real users, and complete control to evolve it as his business grows.
